The events schedule for the 2008 Best In The Desert Racing Association (BITD) begins Wednesday, August 20, 2008 with registration for the Class 1400 and Class 1500 time trials at the South Point Hotel Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada. The time trails take place on Thursday at 6 AM and is followed by contingency and tech inspection. The motorcycle and ATV race begins Friday morning at 6:30 AM six miles north of Beatty, Nevada. Trucks and buggies leave the start line at 10:30 AM. The BITD TSCO Vegas To Reno awards ceremony takes place at Terrible’s Sands Regency Hotel & Casino on Saturday at 6 PM.

The Best In The Desert Racing Association has modified several segments of the upcoming 2008 BITD TSCO Vegas To Reno desert off-road race course. Changes are due in part to safety concerns as well as environmental concerns as addressed by the Bureau Of Land Management.

The Best In The Desert Racing Association Vegas To Reno is billed as the longest off-road race in the United States and logs more than a decade of truck, buggy, car, SUV, dirt bike, motorcycle, ATV, quad, UTV and side-by-side racing in the Nevada desert. Throughout the years, the dirt bikes have led the list of overall victories, besting the BITD Trick Trucks and Class 1 Unlimited Buggies with faster overall times.

After the recent course changes due to environmental issues concerning the Amargosa Toad, the Best In The Desert Racing Association (BITD) announces the revised race course mileage, pit locations and race map for the 2008 BITD TSCO Vegas To Reno desert off-road race. The total mileage of the race course will be 457.5 miles. There will be a 1.5 mile escort to the start line, which leaves 33.93 miles from the start line to Pit 1.

The Best In The Desert Racing Association (BITD) Terrible's Town 250 will debut on cable television on the Xtreme 4x4 program on Saturday, July 19, 2008 and again on Sunday, July 20, 2008 on Spike TV Powerblock. The Best In The Desert (BITD) Racing Association releases the start draw order for the 2008 BITD Parker 425 desert off-road race to take place in Parker, Arizona on February 2, 2008. Early registration for the BITD Parker 425 begins Friday, January 25 at the Blue Water Resort and Casino along the Colorado River.

Shane Esposito teamed with "Big" Dave Pearson to lay down an early lead for the overall victory at this years 2008 Best In The Desert Parker 250 desert off-road race. With relatively little competition, since the factory Honda team severed its off-road racing budget, eliminating its effort in the BITD series, two of the fastest men in the desert had little competition amid the pro ranks aboard their Factory KTM 530 XC, logging a time of four hours, 34 minutes and 40 after completing three 74-mile laps.

Best In The Desert Racing Association just released the start draw order for the 2008 BITD Epic Racing Products Parker 250 motorcycle and ATV desert off-road season opener in Parker, Arizona. The compiled entry list for the January 5, desert off-road race is current as of December 22, and does not include the notable entry of Team Honda, which is accustomed to taking the victory, as was the case last year with rider of record Steve Hengeveld and Mikey Childress on the open pro Honda CRF450X.

The 2008 Best In The Desert (BITD) Epic Racing Products Parker 250 event schedule is now available. Events leading up to the first desert off-road race of the 2008 BITD dirt bike, ATV and UTV season begin on Friday, Jaunary 4, with race registration and vehicle technical inspection at the Blue Water Resort & Casino along the shores of the Colorado River in Parker, Arizona. The youth race begins at 1:00 PM and the pro race begins Saturday shortly after sunrise.

Taking it to just days prior to the flight of the green flag, signaling the start of the race, Best In The Desert Racing Association unviels the race course maps for its Silver State Series season finale desert off-road race, the 2007 BITD Henderson's Terrible 400. The maps include various file formats for the two separate races, which includes the truck and buggy race course maps as well as the motorcycle, ATV and UTV race course maps. Each are posted upon the UNLIMITED DIRT BITD Race Course Map Download Repository along with a converted KML file for view in Google Earth.

The third annual BITD Henderson's 400 has seen both truck and buggy overall winners in its brief history, beginning with the Ford Trick Truck of Garron Cadiente and Chris Godfrey in 2006, finishing in five hours 54 minutes and 25 seconds and the Class 1 Jimco Buggy piloted by Chuck Hovey in 2005, finishing in 6:26:27. In the motorcycle division, 2006 saw California's High Desert Duo consisting of Mike Childress and Steve Hengeveld, piloting the Factory Honda CRF450X with a time of 4:44:00. Hengeveld combined forces with Honda icon Johnny Campbell in the race's first running in 2005 for a time of 6:44:56 aboard the CRF450X. That year, Childress combined efforts with teammate Chuck Dempsey aboard the XR's Only Honda XR650R for a second place finish, finishing the race to become the season champions in a time of 7:21:27.

The events schedule for the final race in the Best In The Desert 2007 Silver State Series takes place in Henderson, Nevada with the 2007 BITD Henerson's Terrible 400. Featuring BITD Trick Trucks, pickup trucks, SUVs, 4X4 vehicles, prerunner trucks, buggies (buggy), VW Baja bugs, JeepSpeed XJ Cherokee Jeeps, off-road cars, dirt bikes, motorcycles, ATVs, quads, UTVs and side-X-sides, the 2007 season finale desert off-road race features a one-day race course pre-fun run takes place on Thursday, November 29, 2007.
