The JEEP CREEP monthly questions and answers tech column was originally launched during my days behind the wheel of Off-Road.com, performing duties as the online magazine's managing editor and pulling double duty amid one of my favorite sections, the Off-Road.com Jeep Section, which was then the most popular segments of the website, bolstering some 800,000 page views or more on the average month. The email requesting Jeep technical information was enormous. Logging anywhere 10-16 hours a day behind the computer on behalf of Off-Road.com operations, my love of Jeeps and Jeepers led me to spend more and more time helping Jeep owners via email communication who were caught in a technical bind or simply sharing their enthusiastic addiction to the Jeep lifestyle with the staff at ORC. After a year or more of answering Jeep questions directly to individual Jeepers, I finally got the monthly column in gear, partially inspired by a dear friend Rick "Super Hunky" Sieman, who is the dirt bike legend known for founding Dirt Bike Magazine. Rick produced a monthly questions and answers column named "Don't Ask!" which was extremely popular and as with anything Rick writes, a highly informative and hilarious read. His wit is unmatched. Today, he still maintains his column, which is one of the last remaining slivers of original content produced on Off-Road.com's Dirt Bike section. Anyhow, JEEP CREEP began its life Aug 1, 2002 and continued until I left ORC late in 2003. Since I left, the column died a few times but was quickly revived by others, including the latest volunteer Jim Brightly, who is an old friend from the old ORC days and a devote and knowledgeable Jeeper. I will repost much of the old JEEP CREEP tech questions and answers here and may consider revamping the Original JEEP CREEP Questions And Answers column early next year, if there is enough interest from the masses.
