During a Friday practice session leading up to Championship Off Road Racing Rounds 11 and 12 in Chula Vista, California, CORR Pro 4 Truck points leader Scott Douglas was involved in an accident that sent him to the hospital with a knee injury and left the Douglas Motorsports Pro 4 truck totaled and unable to race after tumbling end-over-end, toppling over the start-finish table top jump. Douglas Motorsports has called upon backup driver Chad Hord to make use of a backup race truck for this weekend's effort. Hord is a former champion PRO Lite driver.

Speed Technologies, one of the largest and foremost race teams in the United States and Mexico, continues racing in the CORR series this weekend with two Pro-Lite trucks.  The trucks are sponsored by both Bully Dog and Speed Technologies. Chuck Dempsey, a full-time Speed Technologies driver who also races in both the SCORE and Best in the Desert race series, is continuing his education in CORR racing under the Casey Currie Racing banner with sponsorships by Speed Technologies and Bully Dog. The team, led by Casey Currie, recently added Dempsey and is excited to parlay his extensive desert racing experience into the CORR arena.

Popular second-generation desert racer/TV personality Cameron Steele has been added to the Menzies Motorsports driver roster for the 2009 Championship Off-Road Racing Series (CORR), team owner Steve Menzies announced today in Las Vegas. Steele’s first official appearance with the team will be as a backup driver this weekend at Rounds 11 and 12 of the 16-race CORR Series at the Chula Vista International Raceway near San Diego.

After a rather unsuccessful weekend of racing over Labor Day weekend in Crandon, Wisconsin, Carl Renezeder is ready to head back to the track that has been host to a lot of success for him since it opened at the beginning of 2007 - Chula Vista International Off-Road Raceway. He won eight of 12 rounds there last season, and then captured three more wins there just a few weeks ago.
