The 2007 Tecate SCORE Baja 1000 aims to be the second longest running of the Baja Peninsula in the November off-road race's 40-year history, logging a whopping 1,300 miles of rigorous terrain between the start in Ensenada, Baja California Norte to the finish on the southern tip of the peninsula in Cabo San Lucas, Baja California Sur. The only longer running in the race's history was in 2000, dubbed the Tecate SCORE Baja 2000, when SCORE CEO Sal Fish mapped the race course a once-in-a-lifetime 2000 miles. Competitors from throughout the world, racing trucks, buggies, SUVs, side-X-sides, dirt bikes, ATVs, motorcycles, UTVs, 4X4s and quads, are expected to exceed 350 strong. Pre-race festivities begin in Tijuana on November 10, and the post-race awards ceremony concludes on November 16. The epic off-road saga will be taped by NBC Sports for broadcast television shortly thereafter.
